KaloDesk Payments is our own card processing, and it is available now. Salons that process cards through KaloDesk Payments pay $49/mo for Cloud or $999 one-time for Local, because the processing helps cover the software. Without it, Cloud is $79/mo and Local is $1,499 one-time. Every processing fee is listed on our fee schedule.
No. If you keep your own processor you pay the standard rate — $79/mo for Cloud or $1,499 one-time for Local. Moving your card processing to KaloDesk Payments drops you to $49/mo or $999. You choose to move; nothing switches on its own, and we do not raise your rate if you stay with your current processor.
It stays yours. Early salons lock in the rate they signed at, and it does not go up when we move to launch pricing. If you later add KaloDesk Payments, your rate goes down, not up.
Card on file and no-show fees are part of KaloDesk Local today — that is the only edition they run on. Cloud has the rest of the no-show protection: an appointment is flagged automatically when a client does not arrive, the calendar shows a late and a no-show badge, repeat no-shows can be blocked from booking online, and late cancels are counted against a cutoff you set.
Nothing extra from us — texting is part of the plan and there is no per-message markup and no per-feature charge. You do pay your SMS provider's own carrier and 10DLC fees. KaloDesk counts segments as you type so a reminder fits in one message, and Settings has a 30-day breakdown of sends, failures and segments so you can see exactly what texting is costing you.
No. One flat price covers the whole salon, however many techs you have, and it does not change when you hire. Every tech gets the tech portal on their own phone at no extra cost.
A ready-to-run front desk machine with KaloDesk pre-installed and configured, plus a receipt printer. It works with standard card terminals, and your first year of updates and support is included — after that, an optional support plan is $29/mo.
Yes. It's the same software, so you can start on the cloud and move to a self-hosted box later, or the other way around.
